Day 1: Arrival - Ouarzazate - Zagora: 160 km
Welcome by our 4x4 cars already stationed at the airport then departure for a visit of the city then head off towards Zagora.
- Visit of the film studio of Ouarzazate where Lawrence of Arabia was shot, Kundun of Martin Scorsese and many others.
- Departure to Kasbah Taourirt, one of the majestic Kasbah of Morocco, exceptional architecture and representative of the great south. You will admire the outside of the city where Mansour dam is located, large water reservoir for the city and controlled irrigation of the Drâa Valley.
Lunch in Agdz: city located on the old caravan route linking Marrakesh to Timbuktu; today articulated around the main square where a small souk is held, the city centre of Agdz, a relaxed atmosphere, has all the necessary services.
Continue to Zagora via the Draa Valley.
Dinner and overnight in DP Zagora. Accommodation: Azalai Lodge Zagora.
Day 2: Zagora - Chegaga: 160Km
Breakfast at the Azalay Lodge, then departure to Amezrou and then downtown Zagora to discover the city itself, the famous sign "Timbuktu 52 days" and the ancient kasbah of jewels and jewellery making.
A break not to be missed in this Kasbah is to discover a cave of tools and silver jewels.Then continue on to Tamegroute city recognized by its Koranic library and the manufacture of green pottery. Tour and visit of M'Hamid place where you'll have your lunch. Eat in Dar Azawad and then after lunch, head off along a sandy track between dry and arid landscapes, a real discovery of the DESERT! Sometimes off-road with moon-like landscapes. Stop to take your dromedaries and continue the path. Arrival at the camp, free time to enjoy the sunset.
Dinner and overnight in luxurious tents.
Day 3: Chegaga - Mdaouar Sghir - Foum Zguid - Tazenakht - Ait Ben Haddou: 230 Km
Berber breakfast at the bivouac, head off around the big dunes of Chegaga by way of a track in the wadi with some crossing of small dunes. A stage highlighting the dry and arid aspect of the landscape crossing Lake Iriki, dry depression and lined with an amazing string of dunes.
Arrival in Foum Zguid, a small village nestled in a palm grove to cool off, then continue while climbing to the mountains of Anti Atlas to reach Tazenakht, carpet capital in Morocco.
Lunch in a local setting or in a carpet making cooperative.
Then continue on to Ait Ben Haddou. A place that was previously the caravan centre of nomads of the South.
Dinner and overnight at Ksar Ighanda.
Day 4: Ait Ben Haddou - Telouat - Marrakesh: 190 Km
Breakfast at Ksar
Departure to Telouat, former home of Pasha Glaoui via the valley of Ounilla which extends from the kasbah of Telouet to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. A route through the villages of Tigoussa, Annemiter, Tizgui N'Barda, Tiguert and Tamdakkhte. Photo stop at the Tamdakhte Kasbah.
Visit of the Kasbah of Telouet which connected the desert to the big cities, located on the other side of the Atlas, and the proximity of the salt mines made the pashas who lived in Telouet wealthy. Take in the history of Pasha Glaoui, lunch on site then, continue on to Marrakesh by car.
Dinner in a trendy restaurant such as JAD Mahal. Then night in Marrakesh.
Day 5: Marrakesh - departure
Breakfast, free morning or city tour of the ochre city then departure transfer according to your flight schedule.
