It is in Tahanaout, at the Atlas Kinder orphanage, where you start this superb countryside walk, punctuated by a lunch with Fatima’s family in their olive groves.
This hike into the foothills of Agadir Tassaoute, unfolds a plethora of landscapes in just a few hours of walking, located only 40 minutes by car from Marrakech: stone villages, verdant plains, cooling pine forests, androlling hills. Depending on the season, the paradise encompasses fields of poppies and golden wheat, where you will visit a traditional oil mill in which a donkey turns the millstone!
A half-way break among olive trees offers tea with dried fruits and cookies … to keep you energized until the late lunch cooked by a local family. Fatima will serve up a feast for your eyes, she is also responsible for a women’s cooperative (production of couscous seeds and herbs).
